Notes on Morpheus
Morpheus is the boldest building in the City of Dreams complex on Cotai, and the reason is structural. The Zaha Hadid studio dressed the tower in a freeform steel exoskeleton, then carved three hollow voids straight through its middle, so the facade resembles a lattice pulled open by hand. Guests ride glass lifts that climb beside those openings. Rooms are calm and pale, with deep soaking tubs and broad windows that frame the lit-up Cotai skyline after dark.
Dining leans ambitious, with Alain Ducasse at Morpheus heading a short list of signature rooms, while the rooftop pool sits high on the tower with open sky on every side. The wider complex adds shopping arcades, sister hotels and plenty of casual places to eat. Shuttle buses and taxis link Cotai with the ferry terminals and the older streets of the peninsula. The casino belongs to the shared podium below, so the Morpheus lobby itself stays notably hushed.
